Monday, February 15th, 2010GRO Snow Shoot
Sunday, February 14th, 2010My amazing photographer friend, Eric Anderson, is out on tour with us right now and we took Green River Ordinance out for a little shoot the other day. Did I mention that we are in the North East of the country that just had a blizzard? We thought we’d take advantage of the snow. This was mostly Eric’s shoot and I was just tagging along, and as a photographer I know that we rarely get our photo taken, so I made it a point to try to get some photos of Eric in action. These are more or less just b-roll and behind the scenes photos. It was fun. We were soaked by the end of it.
On Tour
Tuesday, February 9th, 2010I’m currently on tour with Sleeperstar for the next two weeks and so excited about it. We’re currently in Virginia and about to cover the east coast with some good friends of ours, Green River Ordinance. You should check them out, they are awesome. I’ll be posting some travel photos as we go. Hope to see you at a show!
It was Aspen
Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010This past December I went on a little snowboarding trip with two dear friends of mine, Aaron and Ben, to a little place we like to call Aaaasssppeen. I love snowboarding but haven’t’ gotten a chance to go in about 4 years, so this opportunity was very welcomed. The biggest storm of the season rolled in one day ahead of us so the snow was absolutely perfect. With the purpose of this trip being to shred the mountain, have quality time with friends, and most of all rest, I did zero work while I was there and it was glorious! I did manage to photograph a little though. To try to capture the beauty of this place is pretty futile in the sense that my own eyes could barely take it in, let alone my lens. But I tried none the less:

Bye Bye Aspen
NY Circa 2008
Thursday, January 7th, 2010I’ve been going through a lot of my personal work lately and really wanted to share some with you. I was going to go into a big long shpeel about being an artist as a profession and needing to find a balance between doing the work that puts food in your belly and doing the work that inspires you. But…you’ve heard it all before. I’ll just say this: Food is good. Food sustains. But passion gives life. Passion is something that enables us to leave some things behind while fighting for greater things, and to experience what we were meant to. What a sad day it would be if we all forsook our passion just to put food on our tables. This trip to NY in late 2008 was one of those rare occasions where I just got to be a photographer for the sake of being a photographer and indulge in the passion I have for life and art. And in NY, at that. I love NY. It is a magical and romantic place. I cherish any moments I get to spend there. These are just some images I was able to capture while there for those short moments:
