Near the end of June I was traveling with my band, Sleeperstar, through the mid-west and we got an afternoon off in Chicago. I’m originally from Chicago and most of my extended family still lives there, so, naturally, I spent a lot of time there growing up. I love going back. Love it.
I was doing some traveling April/May and went through NY. I love that city so much. It’s magical.
Along with photographing Jacob’s tattoo story, I also filmed it:
This is Jacob. Jacob is Sleeperstar‘s tour manager. We’ve been out on the road and we found ourselves in Akron, OH when Jacob decided to act on getting a tattoo that he’s been considering for a few years. Brian at Good Life Tattoo helped us out. Tattoos are extremely personal in a way that they are permanent, tell a story, and make a statement about who you are. I was very honored to capture and tell this story for Jacob.
