Denver & Kristin // Florida Beach Wedding

This particular wedding is really special to me because Denver and Kristin are Sleeperstar’s tour managers. They mean a great deal to us and I love them dearly. Denver is from Florida and they wanted to have a small, intimate beach ceremony with only family… and the Sleeperstar boys. And, of course, we were the wedding band. This was a first for me, my two jobs colliding, I played wedding photographer and drummer simultaneously. Enjoy these two lovebirds.

Antonio & Michelle // Antigua, Guatemala Preview

I just got back from a dream weekend. Antigua, Guatemala is one of those places you see in movies and you think “oh that’s really nice, that would be so neat if that place existed in real life”. Turns out, it does. And you can go there. And sometimes people get married there. And these two people who got married there brought me along to photograph it. And they are SO in love. And they are THE two kindest people I’ve ever met. Michelle and Antonio, thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking me to Antigua to capture your weekend, it was an experience I’ll never forget. Here is a small sampling of their weekend.

This wedding season has been unbelievable. So many amazing couples and amazing weddings. I’ll be traveling a lot over the next few weeks to some pretty fantastic places for some more awesome weddings and I couldn’t be more excited if I tried. Currently I’m in Colorado and get to go white water rafting with the grooms party tomorrow morning. So. Pumped. Wow. I also recently got a Fuji x100 and it has proven to be a handy little travel cam, I’m kind of in love with it. Here are a few Colorado images from the x100. I’ll be back soon. Bye. (Ps. Chicago // Very Windy

Near the end of June I was traveling with my band, Sleeperstar, through the mid-west and we got an afternoon off in Chicago. I’m originally from Chicago and most of my extended family still lives there, so, naturally, I spent a lot of time there growing up. I love going back. Love it.

My amazing photographer friend, Eric Anderson, is out on tour with us right now and we took Green River Ordinance out for a little shoot the other day. Did I mention that we are in the North East of the country that just had a blizzard? We thought we’d take advantage of the snow. This was mostly Eric’s shoot and I was just tagging along, and as a photographer I know that we rarely get our photo taken, so I made it a point to try to get some photos of Eric in action. These are more or less just b-roll and behind the scenes photos. It was fun. We were soaked by the end of it.
