HEY, IT'S ME

Hi, I'm Shaun. In 2001 I was on a mission trip in Mexico, when a friend let me borrow his "nice" camera for a day. That was the day that I fell in love with photography. The ability to capture the world how I see it and be able to share that with others fascinates me.  I eventually graduated from Sam Houston State University in December 2005 with a degree in photography.  During school my best friend, Aaron Cave, and I started a t-shirt company, Randomshirts.com, and that led me into doing graphic design and web design as well.  I also am a musican and currently play drums in the band Sleeperstar, check us out and let me know what you think!  With all the projects I'm involved in I am able to use all my skills and passions and feel like it's a dream sometimes...that no one should get to do as much fun stuff as I get to do!  I feel so blessed everyday that I get to work for myself and do what I love for a living.  I am currently living and based out of Dallas, TX and travel all over to shoot portraits, weddings, and playing music.

MY STYLE

I have a very non-traditional style when I'm shooting a session.  I usually don't like to pose people, but rather capture moments and give direction.  I like to capture the moments in-between moments, that's what I'm looking for.  I like to have fun, so if you're not into fun...I'm probably not your man.  One of my favorite things about portrait photography is collaborating with the models, a mixture of my style and your style.  That is, in my opinion, the best way to really capture who you are.  I love to hear your ideas and creative input.  But, if you'd rather me just handle it, that's alright too, don't worry.  If I'm shooting your wedding, know that I like to move around.  I like to be up close, in the action when the moments are happening.  My style is me.  It is who I am and what I do.  This is important to know when looking for the right photographer.  My style might not be what you're looking for, and that's ok.  Take a look at my galleries and see some of my portfolio, let's just let the photos do the talking, and if you like what you see....call me.  Wedding collections starting at $3,500.
